A Go-To Healthy Breakfast For Kids

10/27/2020

Food is fuel. Not for me, of course, but saying this makes me sound health-aligned, doesn't it?

Jostipher, Chamomile, Jaxxxon and Divi have all acquired extremely refined palates and so we expect our team of chefs to make them tastebud-tingling, brag-worthy dishes at every meal. They also have quite a few sensitivities and allergies, according to our holistic healer Kquinoa, even though our family doctor claims this is not true based off of actual blood test results. I'm praying about it, so I trust I'll have a definitive answer soon.

A forever favorite for the most important meal of the day in our household is...avocado steel-cut oat clusters! The steel-cut oats must come from a farm with an Eastern-facing well, though. Otherwise you might as well be feeding your kids sewage waste.

First, soak the oats in organic goat milk overnight. The next morning, strain the oats and set them aside for a moment. Dice a tropical avocado into squares and mash it into a thick paste (you can sprinkle this with chia seeds) and use it to "roll" the oats into clusters.

You can lightly toast these in a wooden oven, if you are so inclined. Serve with a fresh tomato-pesto sauce. Savory!
